“ITI Angioy”, a school of Sassari (Sardinia) presented to the Global Junior Challenge 2012 an educational project for the students of the chemistry specialization course, which integrated curricular knowledges (organic chemistry, physical chemistry, english, analytical chemistry) with those concerned the technological aspect of the project and the production of Sardinia. The experimental work, has allowed the realization of a prototype of a photovoltaic cell based on the use of a waste material: the skins of grapes, typical product of the agricultural of the italian island. In fact, they contain organic molecules responsible for photovoltaic effects.
